Things to do

Townings Farm Shop

Townings is about six miles from Wild Boar Wood, in North Chailey. It specialises in meat from traditional breeds which are bred on the farm where the shop is. It also has a good range of other produce. The shop is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 9am to 5pm, on Thursdays and Fridays from 9am to 6.30pm and on Sundays from 10am to 4pm.

Directions: From the campsite car park, turn left onto Treemans Lane and at the bottom, take another left on to Monteswood Lane. At the triangular grassed road island take a right onto Freshfield Lane heading towards Heathfield and Uckfield. Keep following the signs until you reach the A272. After a mile-and-a-half, turn right on to Beggars Wood Road, signposted for Chailey. Take an almost immediate right and then a right again onto North Common Road and then turn left onto Plumpton Road. You will find the farm shop on this road.
