Things to do

The Griffin Inn

It’s the views that make The Griffin Inn extra special. You enter this beamed old pub from the main road through the quaint village of Fletching. But you’ll be tempted to pass straight through into the garden where you’ll find breathtaking views across beautiful rural countryside to the South Downs and Sheffield Park. The pub is known for its good food with a menu that changes according to what is in season. Lunch is from 12noon to 2.30pm and dinner from 7pm to 9.30pm, Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, lunch is from 12noon to 3pm and dinner is 7pm to 9pm.

Directions: Leave the campsite car park by turning left on to Treemans Road. Turn left on to Monteswood Lane at the end and then go almost straight over on to Ketches Lane. Follow the lane to the end where you’ll see the shopping complex Trading Boundaries. Go straight over and continue on this road towards Fletching for about 3 miles into the centre of Fletching. The pub will be on your left in the centre of the village.
