Things to do

The Bluebell Vineyard

If you are celebrating a special occasion when visiting Wild Boar Wood Campsite (or you just fancy a bottle of bubbly) then the Bluebell Vineyard is a great place to visit. They have a small shop and tasting room. Bottles of excellent English sparkling wine are around £25. Tours of the vineyard are £16 and must be booked in advance. Drop-in wine tasting is £5 a head. The vineyard is open for visitors Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm but it is wise to call ahead.

Directions: From the Wild Boar Wood Campsite car park, turn left on to Treemans Road and then left at the junction on to Monteswood Lane. At the red post box triangle take the left fork, and then immediately right on to Ketches Lane. After about a mile, turn left on to Sliders Lane. You will see the Bluebell Vineyard Estate and you will soon see a signpost for The Old Dairy Farm Shop which is on the right.

The Bluebell Vineyard is on the left (if you reach The Old Dairy Farm Shop you’ve gone to far!).
