Sheffield Park is only a ten-minute drive from Wild Boar Wood Campsite.
Another of the great Sussex gardens, this National Trust venue near Uckfield features a landscaped garden set around four lakes. The garden was originally laid out by the famous landscape architect Capability Brown. Capability has been described as “England’s greatest gardener”, in the 18th century. The wider estate includes parkland and woodland through which visitors can explore on marked pathways.
Sheffield Park is well set up for families and a great place to explore. There are acres of gardens and parkland and family activity ideas are available from reception. You are also able to borrow all-terrain pushchairs and baby-carriers. There are baby-changing facilities and children’s lunches available in the cafe. Sheffield Park also hosts a large number of family-friendly events and workshops for children. At about three miles from Wild Boar Wood, Sheffield Park is one of the closest attractions to our campsite.
