The first bell tent base is built in the Sussex glamping campsite

A beautiful day out at our Sussex woodland campsite for building the bell tent bases. The bluebells were all out, The Bluebell Railway engines were steaming past, the sun was shining and we had a great team out at the campsite helping out. The butterflies were fluttering by, my daughter and her friend spotted a woodpecker and the wood was green and verdant.

Now the weather has warmed up and with the sun shining, we spent the day building the first bell tent base. Mission accomplished – a base which will keep the bell tents dry and ventilated. The structures for the toilets and showers are being built in Brighton by our friend Rob, as we speak. So by the middle of the month we will have all the infrastructure in the newest Sussex glamping campsite in place.

We had people sawing firewood, collecting kindling and clearing the site. It was hard work but great fun and it’s always great to be in the Sussex countryside. We’ll be camping there in a week or so – cooking camp food over an open camp fire! Can’t wait.

I’ll post some pictures shortly.
Until later
