If you are looking for a campsite close to Brighton and London, look no further!
Our Wild Boar Wood campsite is only a 30 minute drive if you know the shortcut through Ditchling and Slugwash Lane. Handy to the M23, it means that after a hard day at work in London or Brighton you can be relaxing around the campfire while most other campers are still on the road.
Our Bell Tents
Instead of arriving late and putting your tent up in the dark, tripping over guy ropes and struggling to find your torch, you’re in for a treat here. Our bell tents are fully kitted out with almost everything you need so you’ll be cooking on our campfire grills and enjoying a drink before the rest of your friends have even made it home.
Our on site wardens
The wardens have years of experience looking after Wild Boar Wood and they live there for the whole season. There’s noone better to welcome you into the site and make sure you’re settled in quickly and with no fuss. They’re on hand for your entire stay but leave you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the woodland in your own way.
With just nine bell tents in a magical semi ancient five acre woodland, Wild Boar Wood has an intimate feel. You’ll fnd wishing trees and dens built or needing helping hands. There’s wildlife in abundance and the toot of the old Bluebell Railway steam train as it trundles past the woodland.
At Pegs and Pitches our true focus is on nature, peace and space. Hopefully you’ll get all three of these things when staying at any of our campsites in Sussex.
