Camping for cyclists is made easy at our woodland glamping sites in Sussex. Whether you are a road cyclist or a mountain biker, we have something for you.
Cyclists looking for a place to stay after a day in the saddle might like to stay in a bell tent at either Beech Estate Campsite, near Battle in East Sussex, or Wild Boar Wood Campsite, near Haywards Heath. By choosing a bell tent you will reduce the amount of kit you need to carry with you. Our bell tents have almost everything you’ll need for your stay included – you’ll just need to bring bedding and food.
If you prefer camping where you can pitch your own tent, choose a forest pitch at Beech Estate. Our Beech Estate Campsite is also a great place if you enjoy mountain biking and want to be able to pedal off directly after unzipping your tent.
Forest rides at Beech Estate Campsite
The country roads around Wild Boar Wood are popular with road cyclists and cycling clubs – but not suitable for children. The campsite is close to the classic London to Brighton route, and a great place to stop en route to the coast or the South Downs. We do not allow cycling within the woodland at Wild Boar Wood Campsite but families can head for Forest Row by car, about ten miles away, where the Forest Way offers a car-free route on a disused railway track.
