We may be biased, but we think that camping in groups is one of the best forms of holiday, allowing both parents and children to enjoy some freedom, fun and adventure in the great outdoors (in our case that’s a beautiful five acre semi-ancient woodland, with the glorious Bluebell Railway steaming alongside during the day).

The children can explore, climb, hide, build and play independently (within reason!) in our enclosed and car-free woodland, hopefully affording the parents time to chat and catch up around the fire with a nice cup of tea (or something stronger).
Everyone loves a firepit. It’s the focal point and the gift that keeps on giving, from hot drinks to excitingly cooked food, toasted marshmallows, and most importantly fire TV!
We can place families in neighbouring tents. Our glamping tent layouts are perfect for 2 to 5 families camping together. This allows parents to be located close enough to hear children if they should stir. The perfect set-up for a group to share a campfire, eat together and relax with your friends and family.
Exclusive Hire
Wild Boar Wood’s nine glamping tents tucked away in the trees can also be hired on an exclusive basis for a special occasion, or a get together with family and friends, allowing you to create some special memories for around 30-40 guests. Summer season exclusive weekend hire starts at only £2520. A full breakdown of our pricing is listed below (please contact us for off-season and midweek pricing). From morning coffees under the trees to long evenings by the fire, it’s completely yours.
It’s one of the most unique group experiences we offer, perfect for birthdays, celebrations, retreats, or simply switching off altogether, and everyone can enjoy the rare feeling of having a whole forest to yourselves, with all the amenities and facilities you need for a true Wild Glamping experience with your camping crew. Everything is ready for your arrival. Just bring your food, bedding, ice packs, a few extra torches, your people, and your sense of adventure.
Each five-metre bell tent sits on its own wooden base and comes with (you can see the complete list here):
• A private campfire area with grill, Eco-stove and outdoor seating
• All cooking equipment, crockery and utensils for effortless campfire cooking
• A picnic bench
• A hammock for relaxing between the trees
• Carpets, doormats and shoe crates
At the heart of the campsite is our giant parachute, a relaxed communal space with a large central firepit and plenty of bench seating. It’s a natural gathering spot for group meals, marshmallow evenings, or simply somewhere to shelter together if the weather turns. You will also have exclusive use of all of the following:
The Shed
Tucked just behind the main communal area, The Shed is filled with games and activities to keep the mini campers entertained, along with all the local information you might need about the surrounding area and our campsite.

The Campsite Garden & Field
Behind the campsite sits a small, secluded garden and a newly fenced field beyond it.
Together they create a quiet, open space with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a slower pace, whether you’re after calm moments or a bit more freedom to move. It’s the perfect place to:
• Enjoy a morning coffee
• Read in a peaceful spot
• Let the kids run free and play groups games
• Have picnics or evening drinks in the sun
Shared Facilities
• 2 flushing toilets & 1 urinal
• 2 hot water bucket showers
• Washing-up area
• Wood-burning water heating stove
• Eco-friendly washing-up liquid and shower gel
• Drinking water points around the site
• Campsite kitchen with a gas hob
Price
Price is on application and is dependent on the number of adults and children within the group/per tent. Our 2026 fees for a weekend hire (per tent) are:
● 2 adults (or 1 adult and 1 child) £240
● 2 adults and 1 child £280
● 2 adults and 2 children £320
● 2 adults and 3 children £360
● Children under the age of 3 at the time of stay are free
● Day adult guests between 11am to 9pm at £20 per day (by prior agreement)
● Day child guests between 11am to 9pm at £10 per day (by prior agreement)
Due to increased costs of running the site and particularly those associated with an exclusive booking of the site, we now have a minimum spend of £2520 for exclusive
hire of Wild Boar Wood over a 2 day weekend. This equates to a minimum of £280 per tent (2 adults & 1 child) for all 9 tents. (Any additional adults/children will incur an
extra cost.). Midweek exclusive hire rates may be lower.

Smaller Groups
Our West Sussex glamping site has been specifically designed to allow smaller groups of two to four families to be located alongside each other and share a firepit close (but not too close!) to the tents, with summer weekend prices starting at only £280 for 2 adults and 1 child (the price includes two bags of £10 firewood!).
Our large, covered parachute area in the heart of the campsite is the perfect place for everyone to gather around a large firepit.

Wild Boar Wood Campsite is well placed in the heart of Sussex so you can experience our unique glamping near London, Brighton and the South Coast, without having to travel a vast distance. There’s a variety of activities for groups from walks and winery visits through to day trips to Ashdown Forest and The Bluebell Railway.
