Great Dixter House and Gardens

Great Dixter House is around twelve miles away from Beech Estate Campsite.

The former family home of the gardener and gardening writer Christopher Lloyd, it is now owned by a charitable trust. The house and gardens are open to the public and described as a place of pilgrimage for horticulturists. The house in the centre of it all dates, in part, back to the 15th century. The gardens, which Lloyd devoted his life to and wrote about extensively, are made up of many small gardens each with its own character.
