Camber Castle is in Rye, around seventeen miles from Beech Estate Campsite.
Camber Castle was built by Henry VIII between Rye and Winchester to protect Rye Harbour. The fort is unusually unaltered. Access to the fort is only available on a guided tour visa English Heritage. Please see the website for dates and times. There are also monthly guided walks around Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, including the castle and local farm.
