Things to do

Brighton Pier

Brighton Pier is in Brighton, around thirty four miles from Beech Estate Campsite.

This traditional amusement pier was opened in 1899 and still attracts huge numbers of visitors. It has amusements arcades, ice cream, fish and chip and doughnut sellers, fairground rides and a deck chair-lined promenade. It’s easy to see how visitors spend a long time wandering along Brighton pier and taking in the sights.

The pier itself is free to enter but be wary of the number of 2ps you’ll want for the machines in the arcades! Treat yourself to a waffle on a stick, arrange a visit to the fortune teller or pop in for a pint at the pier pub, Horatios. If you opt for fish and chips, watch out for the local seagulls as they will tear these straight out of your hands.

If you feel like a walk, just a minute or two from the pier is a crazy golf course. Alternatively, visit the Brighton Zip, the longest and fastest zip wire on the South Coast.
