Things to do

Beachy Head

Beachy Head is a chalk headland in East Sussex. It is the highest chalk sea cliff in Britain (162 metres above sea level) which means that you’re treated to some spectacular views. You can also visit the lighthouse here which was famously featured in the tv series ‘The Lives and Loves of a She Devil’.

The Beachy Head Countryside Centre is worth popping into. With lots of information about the geology, natural and general history of Beachy Head. As well as the added bonus of a pretty good gift shop.

You’ll also find a large family friendly pub with fantastic views that serves food all day. If you need even more of a reason to visit you could even join an open-topped bus tour.
