Bayham Old Abbey

Bayham Old Abbey is in Tunbridge Wells, seventeen miles from Beech Estate Campsite.

Bayham Old Abbey dates from between the 13th and 15th centuries when the church was constructed from the local golden sandstone. The ruins which remain today are set in gardens. These were re-designed by the famous landscape gardener Humphrey Repton in the 18th century. English Heritage have brought facilities to the site near Tunbridge Wells including a shop where you can get hot drinks. Entrance to the Abbey is free and there is a small free car park on site about 25 metres from the entrance.
