Woodland getaways with friends and family
The 600-acre woodland at Beech Estate Campsite is a great place for group camping in Sussex. The campsite has proved to be very popular for small or larger groups. We have lots families and friends booking their annual camping trips each year. So please make sure you secure your spot early in the season by contacting the office.
Our Woodland Meadow is perfect for group camping
We think there’s nothing like catching up with friends and family around the campfire, away from the distractions of modern life. Adults and kids alike love our spot in the woodland, so if you are looking to camp with a mixed group, then there’s no better place. The campsite is located on The Beech Estate, a beautiful 2000 acre private estate with 1500 acres of forest.

The Woodland Meadow
This area is perfect for larger group camping where ten or more families who want to pitch their own tents together. Our tree-lined woodland meadow can be booked exclusively for your group. The meadow has its own compost toilet and water tap. It’s a short stroll to the car parking area and opens onto 600 acres of beautiful woodland.
Large and adjoining pitches
For camping groups wanting to pitch between two and five tents together we have larger and adjoining pitches. These are set in the woodland and cater for smaller groups camping in Sussex who want to pitch alongside or close by each other and share a central campfire.
Faraway Group Pitch
For Sussex group camping for between six and up to eight families who really like to get away from it all. Our Faraway Group Pitch has an adjacent compost toilet, fresh water supply and washing-up area. It’s located on one edge of our Sussex woodland campsite. The Faraway Group pitch opens directly onto the rest of the 600 acres of forest.
‘Wild glamping’ bell tents
Groups who want life to be a little simpler and have more time to relax and catch up can book our pre-erected neighbouring bell tents. In addition to enjoying our ‘wild glamping’ tents, members of your group with their own tents are able to pitch up next door. You can see more details on our bell tents here.
Group Glamping in West Sussex
Our smaller campsite at Wild Boar Wood, near Haywards Heath is a glamping only site and is also available for Sussex group camping. This campsite has just nine “wild glamping” bell tents in a five-acre woodland. Full exclusive campsite bookings are available, as well as bookings for groups of two to five families.
