If you’re looking for a campsite for your family or a group of families this year then stop right here! We have two beautiful Sussex family campsites for you to choose from. Both our Sussex family campsites are in easy reach of London and the coast and offer you a real getaway into nature. It’s a chance to get back to basics, reconnect with family and enjoy time around the campfire.
Both of our campsites are off grid, so there’s no power on site. But we still have everything you need for a woodland getaway! With a mixture of flushing and compost toilets, our famous outdoor bucket showers and acres of woodland to explore, either is a great Sussex family campsite choice. It’ll give the kids (and adults alike!) a chance to put down phones and tablets and make the most of the great outdoors. We’re also in easy reach of some fantastic Sussex attractions (think llama parks, National Trust sites, beaches, castles, Go Ape, science centres and so much more!).
Which of our Sussex Family Campsites is right for you?
Beech Estate Campsite
Our East Sussex campsite is based on the Beech Estate. The campsite itself is tucked away within 20 acres of a vast 600 acre woodland. All for our campers use! We have a mixture of tent pitches and bell tents here so you can take your pick of accommodation options. For family campers that have all the gear, our pitches will delight you. Each camping pitch has its own firepit and plenty of space for your tent within a private woodland glade. Our bell tents are the best option for those that want an easier life – just turn up with your bedding and food/drink for the stay and we’ve got everything else covered. These are also tucked away in private glades. Ask for a faraway pitch or bell tent if you’d prefer a little more seclusion!
We also have great spots for Sussex group camping. From large group pitches in beautiful woodland meadows to bell tents grouped together for smaller groups. Find out more about our group camping options here.
Wild Boar Wood Campsite
This is our West Sussex campsite and is a great choice if you’re looking for a more intimate experience. The campsite has just nine bell tents in a magical five acre woodland. The steam trains of the Bluebell Railway chug right past the campsite, giving you chance to run to our adjacent field to wave at the passengers. You could even pop to the nearby station and get booked on a train journey yourselves. Each of our bell tents at this Sussex family campsite come equipped with everything you need for a stay, apart from your bedding. You’ll also have a firewood allocation for your own private campfire, or you can choose to use one of our two covered communal campfires. Think bug hunts, den building, family time, delicious campfire meals and a relaxed evening under the stars.
We also offer group glamping stays at Wild Boar Wood Campsite. If you have a group looking for a Sussex family campsite, get in touch! We can offer up to five bell tents for a group or exclusive hire on certian dates. Imagine that, an entire woodland to yourselves!
