Glamping VS Camping

In a world where staycations are on the rise, the big question to ask yourself is do you go glamping or camping?

Glamping VS Camping

There are lots of reason to try both! In fact, there’s plenty of time during the season to get a glamping and camping trip booked in, then you can really decide for youself. But until then, we’re here to help.

In the glamping vs camping debate, we tend to point first time campers toward glamping. We’re big lovers of camping, but if you’ve never tried it before it’s a big commitment. You’ll need a tent and all the kit for a camping trip but with glamping, everything is provided for you. At a Pegs and Pitches Campsite we like to label ourselves as ‘Wild Glamping’ – it’s camping, but with all the essentials taken care of for you! You’ll need to pack your bedding and of course food and drink for the stay, but all else is waiting for you. You’ll be staying in a wonderful 5 metre bell tent. Your cooking utensils, pots and pans, cutlery and crockery is all included. As well as a bag of logs to use on your own firepit, right outside the tent.

Why Camping

For the hardcore campers, there really is no competition when it comes to glamping vs camping. Camping is really taking it back to basics. At Beech Estate Campsite, we’ll provide you with a beautiful camping pitch with your own firepit. You’ll need to bring everything else. But we’re not complete barbarians, we have flushing and compost loos as well as our famous outdoor bucket showers. We provide the toilet roll, shampoo, shower gel, hand soap and washing up liquid. We also sell firewood, kindling and charcoal on site. Leaving more room in your bags for the important things (like a lovely bottle of red to enjoy next to the campfire!).

Beech Estate Campsite sits within a 600 acre woodland. It’s the perfect place to pitch up and get back to nature. You’ll have time to reconnect with loved ones and the world around you. There’s plenty to do in the local area but we like to spend our camping days exploring the woodland, building dens, cooking up delicious campfire feasts and gazing at the stars. However you choose to spend you stay, we can guarantee it’ll be magical.
