A great start to the Sussex camping season!

What a start to the camping season in Sussex! Opening just slightly late this year on the 12th April, both Beech Estate Campsite and Wild Boar Wood have had a great start to the camping season. .

Happy campers at Sussex campsite

There’s been some bumps in the road with changing regulations but we’ve weathered the storm and have now been successfully open for over two months! We’ve seen plenty of campers so far this season and are looking forward to the summer.

Feedback so far

We’ve had lots of positive feedback so far from campers old and new. Some of our guests have been new to camping in Sussex but others have been with us for years, some even from when we were first operating as Eco Camp. Just check out some of our feedback below:

  • A really lovely place to camp, thank you so much for creating such an idyll!

  • Had the best weekend at The Beech Estate last weekend, it was a little wet at times but we had a great time and the kids love being so connected to nature in this place.

Updates and Improvements

We spent some of the off season updating and improving both Sussex campsites. Beech Estate had the bucket showers rebuilt as well as new urinals added too. We’ve even added a new ‘hammock only’ spot for the hammock campers out there!

Wild Boar Wood Campsite in West Sussex has had new bucket showers built and a new shed, much to the delight of our campsite warden. She now has a multitude of spots to store equipment!

Our bucket showers have been an absolute winner ever since we opened and even the most trepidatious of camper leaves converted to them!

Sussex Camping 2021 Photo Competition

If you have stayed at (or are staying at) one of our Sussex Campsites this year then make sure to grab a few shots during your stay! Our photo competition gives one lucky winner a free stay next season. We’re not expecting professional photos, just an insight into your camping trip, your tent set up and your campfire nights under the stars. So far this year we’ve already had 221 photos entered, here’s a sneak peak at some –
