A great start to the Sussex camping season!

What a start to the Sussex camping season! Beech Estate opened on the 1st April with Wild Boar Wood slightly later on the 8th. Both Sussex campsites have had a great start, with some lovely sunny weather and lots of campers old and new through our gates.

Happy campers at Sussex campsite

After a couple of years of uncertainty it’s great to finally be open, with no restrictions and sunny skies in abundance! Our new wardens have settled in nicely and we’ve been lucky enough to have some amazing feedback to far from campers.

Feedback so far

We’ve had lots of positive feedback so far from campers old and new. Some of our guests have been new to camping in Sussex but others have been with us for years, some even from when we were first operating as Eco Camp. Just check out some of our feedback below:

  • Amazing campsite! lovely walks with amazing views, very peaceful. the facilities were great exceeded all expectations. staff were super friendly and very accommodating, couldn’t recommend enough!

  • Most amazing campsite with beautiful walks and incredible connection to wildlife and nature. The best facilities I’ve experienced on a campsite and staff completely welcoming and helpful from check in to check out. Plan on returning regularly and recommending to all.

Updates and Improvements

We spent some of the off season updating and improving our facilities at Beech Estate Campsite. We’ve also added a second ‘hammock only’ spot for the hammock campers out there and a ‘faraway mini pitch’ for those with small tents who want to venture deeper into the woods to camp. We have created a covered area, with washing-up sinks, hot water points and hand basins. Three new flushing toilet cubicles and a urinal for the guys sits next door. We think its rustic, practical design fits in with the surrounds and from the feedback it seems as though you agree!

We’ve also updated the bell tent pitches for 2022. Beech Estate Campsite’s eight ‘wild glamping tents’ sit on top of new platforms. These bases help keep the bell tents dry and ventilated, as well as give our ‘wild glampers’ an improved view of the Sussex camping woodland!

Sussex Camping 2022 Photo Competition

If you have stayed at (or are staying at) one of our Sussex Campsites this year then make sure to grab a few shots during your stay! Our photo competition gives one lucky winner a free stay next season. We’re not expecting professional photos, just an insight into your camping trip, your tent set up and your campfire nights under the stars. So far this year we’ve already had 57 photos entered, here’s a sneak peak at some –
