Our Sussex campsite caters for groups looking for relaxed gatherings with families and friends.

Beech Estate Campsite offers some great group camping and glamping options. Whether you want to camp with a couple of friends in neighbouring glamping tents or fancy hiring out a whole meadow for extended family to pitch their tents in, we’ll have something to tempt you.

Our off-grid woodland campsite is designed to help you relax in natural surroundings. Beech Estate Campsite is perfect if you want to catch up with friends and family around the campfire. We provide a quiet, family-friendly campsite. Amplified music is not allowed at any time – great for a relaxed gathering but if you’re looking for an all-night party then it’s not the right place for you.

Our smaller glamping only Wild Boar Wood Campsite also offers groups options. These include exclusive hire of the whole campsite with its nine glamping tents or options for smaller groups from two to four families staying in our wild glamping tents.

Group camping and glamping at Beech Estate

Large Group Camping Option – Woodland Meadow (10-18 families)

The Woodland Meadow is ideal for a larger group of families wishing to pitch their own tents together. This area is generally reserved exclusively for a group of 10-18 families – but on occasions we do split the area to include two groups (4-6 families each). The Meadow is a unique tree-lined glade with two of its own flushing toilets, urinals, washing up area and drinking water point. It has four separate firepits, including a large communal firepit in the middle and some picnic tables. This area provides a group with a pitch well away from other campers in your own section of the campsite. We can also put up some of our unfurnished bell tents for anyone without their own tent or just seeking the easier option (just a bell tent with no extra equipment – beds can also be hired).

Faraway Pitch Group Option – F4 (6-8 families)
The Faraway Group Pitch (F4) is a large pitch area, on the ridge of the valley, bordered on one side by the woodland and lovely views down the valley. It is an area that can cater for six to eight tents, with the ability to include F3, a big double pitch next door as well. The Faraway Pitches, although a further walk from the car park (approx. 300m), are among the most spectacularly scenic of the camping spots at Beech Estate. There is a compost toilet, washing-up area and two bucket showers (all supplied with hot/drinking water) nearby. The flushing toilet facilities are approximately 150-200m away. This area provides a group with a pitch well away from other campers in your own section of the campsite.
Group Camping and Glamping Combination
For smaller groups at the East Sussex campsite you can combine your own pitched tents with our ‘wild glamping’ bell tents. We have several different ways to connect our glamping tents and pitches in different areas of the campsite. There are up to three ‘wild glamping’ bell tents located close to each other, and these can be combined with two to three other pitches. We can, on occasion, pop a few extra unfurnished bell tents up in group areas, or smaller group pitches as well. These pre-erected unfurnished beds can be hired with just z-beds, but allow extra friends to join the group.
Small Group Options (2-5 families)
A smaller group has the option of utilising a combination of pitches within the main campsite area. We have two larger pitches with room for up to five tents (depending on size), a triple tent pitch and a host of large double Forest Tent pitches and Faraway Tent pitches.  The Valley View pitch is also great for groups – with a capacity for three or even four families. In 2025 we have the new Twilight Pitch which has the best views of the setting sun. This pitch can accommodate up to four families. We also have increased the size of our most distant faraway pitch – to allow 3 or four families to pitch here.
