Pegs and Pitches Camping is the new name for Beech Estate and Wild Boar Wood Campsites. We were formerly known as The Secret Campsites (in 2018 & 2019) and previously as Eco Camp UK.

Pegs and Pitches have two beautiful Sussex campsites located in private woodlands.

We launched our first campsite over nine years ago with the purpose of providing real campers and ‘wild glampers’ to ‘escape to a little adventure’, where, we like to say, ‘nature is included free’.

We coupled this with the chance for our campers to enjoy a campfire with their family, or a small group of friends, and this approach has proved incredibly popular.

We love what we have created so far – and our aim is keep providing real camping and wild glamping to those looking to put aside technology and slow down their pace of life.

little adventures

A quiet sense of discovery awaits as you enter our campsites.

Their secluded locations ensure ink black skies and a fantastic star show and with no cars, no dogs and no music. You’ll enjoy an uninterrupted dawn chorus and a safe place for children to explore.

At Pegs and Pitches a great campfire is essential.

Our pitches and glamping tents are well spaced to provide a sense of escape, each with its own fire pit.

We have a selection of small group options where families and friends can enjoy camping and glamping together.

Each pitch and tent is surrounded by trees and vegetation that’s left to grow wild. This provides seclusion and the space to enjoy a campfire, the company of your small group and the odd uninvited guest fluttering by.

nature included

At Pegs and Pitches our beautiful campsites are located in areas where nature and wildlife can flourish.

From coppiced stands of ancient woodland to carefully managed forest meadows and glades, each site and the surrounding land are managed to encourage encounters with the natural world. From glow worms, butterflies and nightingales to deer, voles and owls you’ll not be disappointed.
